Caber Toss - first you stand the 200 pound, 20-foot-long log on its
end... |

...then you throw it. The point is to have the caber rotate
completely, strike the ground with the opposite end, and come to
rest directly in line. |

After the Highland Games, we drove down to Largs in Ayrshire, and
the Scouts did a 5-mile hike on the Ayrshire Coastal Path from Largs
to Skelmorlie. |

Our Scouts took a break on the beach until the rain started, and
then we drove back to Bishopton for a good dinner and an unplanned
relaxed evening. |
