Camp Views

Overlooking the camp from the Campfire Slope. The Camp is divided up into six circular subcamps.

International Flags stand above Target Park, the camp field.

Subcamp Dinner - one evening, the camp staff visits the Subcamps and has dinner with the Scouts

The day starts with flag raising - a/k/a "Flagbreak"...

... and ends with Flag Down in the evening.

Scouts in the subcamps have daily Morning Formations to hear any daily announcements and find out the results of that day's inspection.

It stays light late, this far north - this picture was taken about 10:30 in the evening.

Moon over Blair Atholl - about 11:30 at night.

Subcamp Gateways

Each subcamp has a gateway which fits the theme for the subcamp.

The Kastle is a huge U-shaped tent. The bank, post office, cafe and Scout shop and a venue for evening entertainments are in the centre, while the two arms house various daily activities.

When all the Scouts go home at the end of the Jamborette, there's just ghostly outlines of the subcamps... until next time
