Camp Chief's Reception

Club. |

Membership in The Blair Atholl Fellowship has been awarded to
Scottish staff and supporters of the Blair Atholl Jamborette for
many years - I don't know for how long, but the first was awarded
to the Tenth Duke of Atholl, who passed away in 1996, so it's been
at least that long.
As far as anyone can remember, the Fellowship has always been
awarded to Scots - until this year. For the first time, two
International leaders were inducted into the group - both, oddly,
named "Mike" - myself and Mike Uchimya from Japan. I was
very surprised to be called up by Camp Chief Colin Peters to
receive the award - and extremely honored to be the first
International leader to receive it, by virtue of alphabetical
order... |

The Blair Atholl Fellowship certificate was hung on my wall as
soon as I returned from Scotland, where it will remain in pride of
place. |

Another award given at the reception was to this Austrian
leader, who received her Woodbadge beads from Chief Peters. From
the list of achievements she had to go through to receive them,
Woodbadge is a much more serious proposition in Austria than it is
in the BSA - much closer to a college-level degree than our
program. "Congratulations and well done!" to her.
