
The Jamborette ended on Thursday night with a big campfire.

As the fire burned down, Camp Chief Colin Peters took over to
reflect on the Jamborette. |

Each of the contingent leaders was given vials of heather and
tartan for each of the contingent members. |

The Camp Chief and all the subcamp leaders lit torches from the
campfire... |

...and lined up in front of the Scouts. |

Candles were lit from fire from the torches, and the flames were
passed back until the entire slope was covered in points of
light. |

The Blair Atholl Hymn was sung... |

As the last verse of the Blair Atholl Hymn ended, the Camp Chief
passed across the field in front of the group. As he passed, the
candles were blown out, so that the field went dark from one side
to the other... |

...until the only light was on a lone piper. |

The Scouts filed back to their camps, while the leaders went to
the reception at the Staff Club.. and the Jamborette was
over. |
